The Pulan Plains had always been of one the most secure places to wander about; Phlasgna had always liked it's endless moss-covered ruins, where his spiritual companions dueled, the gigantic Moon illuminating black lotuses and waterfalls. All was peaceful. Except, of course, when the "God" beings lurked about, they and their expansive nature that seemed to smother all of the beauty.

She had not forgotten her long-made promise. However, Phlasgna disliked the physical world. For instance, it smelled: there was always some kind of disgusting freshness in it, something rather unattractive and lively into it. Also, she had never been there in the best conditions, and prejudice blinded her to anything she would've thought to be pleasant. But Oaths were Oaths, and she was one to keep her words.

So Phlasgna used one of the many cracks that allowed spirits to enter the Physical World, small energy fluxes in the moon glades that sensible beings such as her could easily access. She would dread deeply to find herself on the Physical World during daylight, but had no real way of knowing so. Had she not been guiding herself by the God's actions, she would've not even been sure what time it was. But it had only been twenty human years since she had been out of her Summoner's shackles.

A city came to sight, illuminated by the last rays of the day. She hissed; floating quickly to the cold shades of elder trees. Cursed be the daylight! She would be forced to wait until it all disappeared into blessed darkness, so that her eyes and "body" would not feel as if a God of Fire was burning through them. This would also be a good excuse for Phlasgna to re-think her talking, since she had not really planned what to say or who to talk to. She just knew she had to find allies.

Hiding in the shadows projected by the woods surrounding the city of Ambrose, Phlasgna lurked, slowly watching night fall upon the city

Ariana's need to venture out into the world was growing more and more by the hour. Today it seemed she could no longer put off her deep longing to begin her lonesome journey to 'find herself', or as many others referred to her sudden change of heart. She was highly skilled in medicines that nature provided, and she could do an assortment of spells to make sure no harm found her.

She was more than prepared.

Her traveling cloak, a light shade of grey with a variety of symbols across the front and back, was all she needed. And of course, her Staff. A pack was hanging off her shoulder, filled with extra clothing, books, maps, and a mixture of delightful treats. She knew that she would soon reach Ambrose; she would need to restock on certain things that she was hoping she could find there.

Ambrose wasn't that much further than her home village, but it was quite a distance, not that she minded the walk. Night had nearly fallen by the time she began walking through what appeared to be a miniature forest, surrounding Ambrose. She used her Staff as a walking stick, only to give that impression, though only she understood it's true power.

As the moon took it's turn in the skies, Ariana gently stomped it on the floor, a small light igniting at the tip. It created light bright enough to illuminate a few feet ahead of her, though the moon had lit the path quite well, she preferred the assurance of her staff.

Her stomach growled, only to indicate the small hunger growing inside her. She stopped, leaning against a tree, while rummaging through her pack. She pulled out one of her famous cherry-grape cakes, cut into bits to suppress her growing need to eat. As she took a bite, she released a sigh of relief, relaxing against the tree. She would rest for a few more moments before continuing to Ambrose to find a place to stay for the night.

Nightfall had only been an hour and a half since Phlasgna had arrived the Physical World, but it would seemed to her that time had held itself just to torture the Spirit of Darkness. Still, she waited, eyes closed, distracting herself with the creatures that passed by, feeling their elemental connection to the Darkness. She unconsciously fed on those energies, growing more silvery with each second, her "skin" polished to perfection. In a certain way, Phlasgna had a very appealing woman-like shape, almost tempting and mysterious. Thus, that was how she handled her path on the Physical lands.

Finally, night came. Her orbs opened in response to Mother Moon, the only landscape element that both worlds shared. Phlasgna thanked Mother for her benevolent gift, and her purple eyes scanned the area. Nightly predators and prey seemed to awaken. Her fascination towards these was pretty similar to that of the Gods of Earth, except that Phlasgna would never dare to meddle for the sake of experimentation.

She started floating in a snake-like way, slithering past a lone elven eremit's cove. She did not know exactly where to start her search; in her decades in this world, Phlasgna had not been in control of herself. No, that had been her master. Therefore, she knew very little about the way it worked. In fact, she mostly knew that the Physical world had a light period and a night period. That and that there were conflicting land-walker parties, and that some of these very land-walkers worshiped the False Gods.

She needed a human. If the elven cove had not been empty, Phlasgna would've spied on the elf that inhabited it. But she would not. Simultaneously, the Dark Spirit did not want to go to the city.

The answer to her dilemma was soon brought by a third option: a sudden manifestation of the spiritual world, followed by light, came to her sight, not much deeper into the woods. It had to be some kind of human, for certain. She sensed it's energies, finding the usual store of Dark matter inside of it. She also felt some kind of eerie energies inside of the human, and felt naturally drawn towards them.

Silently, Phlasgna slithered towards the human, careful enough not to be discovered; she wanted to spy on this being, learn from it. If she felt like doing so, she would talk to the human. That or go away

Talen walked down the path coming out of the woods. He had a look of annoyance on his face as he walked and a voice could be heard on the left side of him. On his left shoulder, to be exact, sat a small silver girl who was chatting up a storm about something that she had found exciting and important. So important in fact that she hadn't stop talking about the whole time they had traveled to Ambrose, "And then!," she continued with much enthusiasm, "We came across that enormous troll and he almost killed both of us remember!?,"

Talen stopped and looked sideways at her, "Of course I remember he nearly took my head off how could I forget?," Rolling his eyes he looked up at the sky and saw that the sun was starting to go down. It would be night time soon, "We need to find a place to stay soon," He pulled from the pocket of his cloak a map and studied it, "It says that Ambrose should be somewhere around here," He looked back up and in the distance he could see a city, "Right there, lets go," He continued to walk with his eyes on his destination.

"Oh the city, I'm so excited!," Marble was bouncing up and down on Talen's shoulder with a wide grin upon her face. He couldn't help but smile. She might get annoying with her rants once in a while but he loved her flare and excitement at things. He continued to walk hoping they would make it to the city before night fall but almost sure the wouldn't. He was wearing his normal clothes of light brown pants with knee high walking boots. A green shirt that was laced up half way by the neck and his shimmering cloak. The cloak had symbols upon it that would moved around randomly spinning in different designs. On his hip attached to his belt was his Staff with the glowing ball shining bright.

Soon they came to the city and could see the gates as they came closer. Marble jumped off of Talens shoulder and began whirling around his head making blue dust drop from her wings. As they came closer Talen grabbed his staff from his waste and spun it. It instantly grew to the larger size of a walking stick and when it hit the ground lite up brighter lighting the way. At the same moment he noticed another light out of the corner of his eye. Looking toward it he saw a lady leaning against a tree eating a pie. She had in her hand a staff as well and Talen figured she was a mage herself. Marble had noticed the girl and glared landing on Talen's shoulder again, "I want to make sure I followed the map right lets ask that woman if this is Ambrose,"

"Followed the map right my ass, you just want to go and flirt with her," Marble crossed her arms and looked the other way. Talen smiled, "I just think someone is jealous," He popped up his shoulder making her almost fall off, "No I just want to see if we are at the right place, not flirting involved," He began to walk toward the lady ignoring Marbles mumbles from his shoulder. As he got closer he felt a strange presence somewhere near by but ignore it thinking that it might just bet he womens power source.

"Hello there," He said looking down at her, "Sorry to interrupt your meal but I was wondering, is this city Ambrose?," He watched her for a second, "Somethings I can get confused with maps," He let out a laugh and then felt a hard pinch as Marble smack his ear. He ignore it giving a frown her way then waited for the women to answer.

It had been quite a while, and Ariana knew that she no longer was as hungry as she was before. She began packing away her gear that she had taken out of her pack, feeling as if someone was watching her in the process. She grew weary, figuring it'd be best to shrug off this 'feeling'. As she threw her pack over her shoulder once more, her Staff let out a bright glint, sparkling for a few moments before her eyes, than fading into the darkness.

Someone was approaching.

Ariana turned, facing a man who seemed to be accompanied by a Fairy. She gave a soft smile, and replied with a strong tone. "Actually, I was just finishing up. You weren't interrupting anything, I was just about to take my leave, either way." She said, holding her staff to her side. "Yes, this is Ambrose. I'm actually headed that way right now, I need to find a place to stay for the night. You could come along if you'd like."

She felt her Staff vibrate madly, only for a few seconds, enough for her to take notice of it. She knew that her senses never failed to be correct, and that there was a chance she was being followed. Yet, for what reasons, she was unsure. Her mind was drawn back to the man, feeling foolish for not properly introducing herself.

"I'm sorry, I've seemed to forget my manners. My name is Ariana..."She said extending her left hand, "Ariana Goldstone."

Phlasgna watched the human being eat. It's strange charisma, it's energy...it stunk. It felt like an infinitely smaller version of the God's energies. She didn't like it so much. Perhaps it had all been a mistake; perhaps these "humans" wanted this domination. At least, they seemed to handle foreign powers quite well. To the Lesser Spirit, it felt as if the woman had some kind of poisonous aura about her.

Yet, more came. This time, Phlasgna dared closer into the first woman, for she sensed yet another being with strange energies surrounding him. Sure enough, she sensed another interaction with the other world. How did they do it? And there was also another thing...yes...Phlasgna floated a bit higher, lurking in the shadows, nearly becoming one herself.

And soon, she saw it, the horrible fae creature. The Dark being hissed with disgust at the very sight of it. Oh, how she despised the winged pranksters and their seemingly meaningless existence. She felt an urge to attack and kill, tear it to pieces and blow it all up. Her eyes became red with desire, and her mouth shone purple. Almost instantly, instinct overwhelmed her thoughts, and she dived forward, sharp claws ready to claim the tiny heart, hissing like a demon.

Talen smiled as the mage said she was heading for Ambrose as well. It seemed the perfect person to run into he hadn't had anyone to talk to besides Marble in a while. Marble on the other hand seemed ever more disgusted by the idea and was rolling her eyes mimicking the girl in a rude way. Talen ignored her she always got protective when it came to meeting new people, "Nice to meet you," He said as the girl told them her name, "I'm Talen, and this is Marble," He looked over at his left shoulder as he spoke. As he turned he whispered to Marble, "Where are you manners introduce yourself properly or I'll leave you here,"

Pouting for a second she considered the situation then decided she didn't want to be left behind so turned around and studied the girl for a second with a raised eyebrow, "Yes I'm Marble but you can call me The Silver Fairy," Her tone of voice was as if she had just introduce a queen or someone important. Talen rolled his eyes. It was then that he felt the strange presence again and he looked around. The feeling was getting stronger and felt for a second a rage of power coming from the unknown source as if it were angry or aggravated, "Do you feel that.. I think something else is around here," He was talking to both Marble and Ariana still looking around trying to find whatever it was.

It was then that a hiss erupted and a figure came out attacking right for Talen. His eyes opened wide as he saw what it was and then realized that it was heading for Marble. Her attitude quickly disappeared as her life was in danger now and she let out a cry of terror. Grabbing his staff he stun it while chanting some words and slammed it hard on the floor, a loud echoing. The ball on the top turned red and the stone inside erupted in flames that exploded from the ball. They created a clear circle around Talen, Marble and Ariana who was close by. As the claw came toward them Talen watched as the shield protected them erupting flames on anyone who touched the bubble.

They were safe enough inside and Talen looked at the creature and saw it was a lesser spirit, "What do you want?," He asked looking at it carefully he wasn't sure if it was going to attack them again. Marble on the other hand was over her fear of being attacked and was now looking sharply at the spirit. She jumped down from Talens shoulder and with a snap and a rain of blue dust she was as large as Talen and Ariana. She walked toward the spirit the bubble stretching but did not pop. Talen was about to tell her not to go close to the thing but it was to late she had already lifted her hand and with a swift movement had gone and smacked the spirit across the face making the bubble erupt with flames where it had made contact, "Bitch!," she said with a loud voice, "How dare you even think about attacking me!," She was looking right at the spirit now with her hands on her hips, "I have a right mind to come out of this bubble right now and kick your sorry ass all the way into the next city!,"

Talen put his palm to his forehead, great now Marble was on a ram page they were all going to hear about this for the next week. Marble was still yelling at the spirit giving it a piece of her mind when Talen looked at Ariana, "Did you know that you were being followed?," He was curious to know how long the spirit had been there.

She was more than just enjoying the little disagreements Talen and Marble seemed to be having. She understood where these feelings might be coming from, but felt it'd be best to be as polite; no matter how rude or irritating the remarks may be. Ariana merely smiled at Marble, or the Silver Fairy. "It's quite nice to meet you Talen, and your lovely friend, The Silver Fairy." She flashed another smile, revealing sparkling-white teeth.

Seeing Marble and Talen together made Ariana wonder why she hadn't found someone or something to accompany her through her journey. She was hoping she could find some animal at birth, raise it as her own, and take it with her wherever she pleased. She felt that was a plan, and hoped to do some searching later on in the week.

Apparently, she wasn't the only one experience the sudden presence surrounding them. She took notice of Talen's body movement, noticing that he had felt something also. Her suspicions were confirmed when he asked her directly.

She shuddered for a moment; a spine-chilling hiss echoed through the woods. The Lesser-Spirit came out from the shadows, heading straight at Talen. More or less going after Marble. Ariana had known that Talen and her were both Mages. Yet she also knew that there were different types, and she wondered what he might be capable of. Her question was answered almost immediately. The 'bubble' surrounded by fire seemed to stop the Spirit in it's track. Marble seemed to have gained some confidence in his magic; growing to their height at an alarming rate. Ariana was amazed, but she knew that this was just the beginning of this journey.

She was sure more surprises would come to her...

Once Marble had slapped the Spirit, coming into contact, Ariana feared that they had found trouble. She was sure the spirit wouldn't tolerate such actions. Ariana studied the Spirit, noting that it possessed female features, yet she couldn't quite come up with the words to describe this...being.

"I had a feeling, but I couldn't quite get it right." Ariana wasn't necessarily frightened, she was more curious. She held her Staff tightly, though only for reassurance. She wanted to know how this situation would turn out, eagerly awaiting the outcome.

Flying right towards her target, Phlasgna was unable to respond wisely to the sudden magic access. Her "skin" burned with some intensity, claiming a banshee shriek from her before she could walk back from the fire wall. Her claws burned like hellfire, and so did her chest, since she had collapsed head-first with the magical bubble. In her surprise, she did not avoid the now-grown-faerie's strike, which seared her face almost as brutally as the first collision. Phlasgna floated a bit away from the magic, growling madly. The little fae had grown out of it's mind, for sure!

Like a confused predator, Phlasgna swirled around them, her skin healing itself a lot slower than usual, due to the nature of the magic itself. She heard both humans talk, and could have deciphered this language because of the little things she had learned from her master, but her mind was nowhere there. She wanted the demonic fae dead from the moment she saw it, and the recent slap did not make it any better.

However, in her current state, there was little Phlasgna could do to penetrate the mages defenses. Her mind was foggy to the point she couldn't even access her own magical potential, and shadow manipulation was useless at the moment. So, as time passed, she cooled a bit down, to the point rationality could take grasp. She realized, suddenly, that she was being overly aggressive and, although she still wanted to tear the faerie apart, she forced herself to talk with a chorus of whispered voices:

I am Phlasgna. I meant no harm.

Well, that would probably do it, she thought. Humans were never the kind to think twice on words, or so she remembered. Besides, her intentions were not evil; no faery was needed in that world, or any world for that matter. She'd just kill her when no-one was looking

Marble was still ranting about the whole incident but had gone back to her normal size and was now on Talens shoulder once more. She must of thought he was listening to her because her voice carried on over Ariana and Talen's conversation. He watched Ariana for a second and could tell she wasn't afraid of the situation. He wasn't all afraid himself just startled from the sudden attack. He watched the creature for a second and wondered what it was he had never really seen anything like it. Talen had only heard of Lesser spirits.

"Yeah I could feel a strange presence myself when I walked up but I couldn't place it either," The bubbles power was beginning to weaken and Talen was getting worried that the creature might attack again once it had popped. Then luckily it spoke and assure them that it wouldn't, "Phlasgna you say?," He watched it carefully to make it sure it wasn't Lying, "Well if you mean no harm then I suppose you won't attack us again, I kind of would like to keep my friend a little longer on my journey," He heard Marble let out a hiss still obviously being angry with the creature. Talen watched it for a little while longer then decided to close the bubble. With a snap it was gone and he looked at Ariana whispering, "I think this creature might come in handy, maybe it should come along to the city with us?,"

He felt his stomach let out a loud growl and looked down on it, "Well I don't know about you guys but I'm starving, I say we head inside," He was also very tired and after that spell he felt weaker then usual. Having traveled for a long period of time even then basic spells became hard work. Marble wasn't excited anymore for the city and sat still on Talens shoulder. He had to admit it was kind of nice not having her bounce around all the time. He looked back at the creature, "We are heading for the city your are welcome to join us if you promise not attack us again," He was still gripping his staff ready for anything that might happen.

Talen began heading toward the gates of the city and was already thinking of a nice warm bed to sleep in and some hearty food to eat. He began going through his pockets and pouches seeing what kind of money he had. Turning to Ariana he asked, "So have you been here before? Know of any good place to eat or a good place to spend the night?," He was hoping she did. Talen had never been to Ambrose and didn't know his way around the town. Either way though they would have to find some place to stay for the night.

When Phlasgna spoke, it sent chills throughout Ariana's body. It seemed as if her voice was accompanied more than just her own. Ariana was deeply amazed and curious.

She could feel the power of the 'bubble' beginning to weaken, and wondered if it was taking a toll on Talen. She wasn't sure why Phlasgna was so driven to attack Marble, as small as she was. Though she could only assume, and it left a hint of want inside Ariana. "Well, I think it's best if we refer to her as Phlasgna, might be a little more appropriate." She spoke with eagerness in her voice; she had never been outside her village long enough to experience what might be lurking beyond the woods.

She was debating whether or not they should take Phlasgna with them. She wanted to, but she was unsure of how much Talen and Ariana would be able to protect Marble, as direct as she was. She turned back to Talen, and replied to his last question. "Well, this is my first time out of my home village. But I'm sure we can find someplace to stay. Ambrose seems to be a pretty large city."

She took a few steps to Phlasgna, a smile across her face. "Hello Phlasgna, my name is Ariana." She didn't know whether to extend her hand, or just continuing speaking. "If you'd like, we'd be more than happy if you accompanied us to the city. I, personally, don't like being out in the dark too long." She gave another soft smile, leaning on her Staff.

As the Barrier was slowly loosing its strength, Phlasgna's body became tenser, like a lioness getting ready for leaping upon the pack's next meal. The human mage talked to her, somewhat distracting her killing thoughts with words she was familiar with, even if they did sound strange. Somehow, she had expected no diversity in human voices, and now that she was almost clear-headed again, she realized that everything - from the tone to the accent - differed from her dead master's voice. It was so strange for her that she lost her momentum. A promise, the man asked?

The female spoke next, shocking Phlasgna even more with the novelty of her own voice. It felt awkward to the Lesser Spirit that she had never never realized, during her encasement, that humans could be as diverse as spirits themselves. She had always seen them as similar things with voices that sounded all the same, except that they could be used with more or less intensity.

I... Phlasgna hesitated. She had just been invited to join the duo - or trio, if you could count on soon-to-be-dead faerie vermin - in their trip to some city. Her body lowered till it touched the ground with her legs, in a strange imitation of human standing, although she wasn't truly supporting her body with her legs. Struggling with words and thoughts of dead flying pranksters, she managed to sketch an answer Will there be evidences of Hierarchy there?

It was an odd question, but not to Phlasgna, whose eyes were still trained on the faerie. She hissed, not caring to pretend she did not want Marbles' life. The shadows around her actually trembled, but she did nothing. These two could certainly be of help to her, and she might even be able to learn a few interesting things about Mankind habits. And the Gods! She had to know more about their influence here! Then, it occurred to her, and, as it did, so did the shadows around her tremble once again.

This is not the land of the judges, is it? she spitted out with disdain. Ooooooh, how she hated them all! How she would have their heads! These thoughts made her growl in anxiety.
