The Spiritual Realm and it's inhabitants
« Thread Started on Mar 1, 2008, 4:33pm »

The Spiritual Realm existed for as long as memory can go, or perhaps further. It is ever changing, and there is no real way to count time in it. The Pulan plains, also known as the Moon plains, stretched for as far as the real physical world did, and their shapeshifting characteristics make them seem like an endless maze, always reacting to the individual and collective will of the spirits, be it stronger or weaker.

For a long time, the Spiritual Realm and the physical one have been kept separate from each other not because there was no way between both, but because the Spirits and the humans never cared for it. However, some spirits whose will was stronger than the usual started to affect the physical realm without realizing it. Eventually, they became surprised, for their existence seemed to alternate between two realities.

Thus, the means to traverse from the Spiritual to the Physical Realm came to birth. Always leaving a trace behind, the spirits started to discover that they could — to a limited extent — force themselves out of the Pulan Plains and into a much more diverse, yet static, land. At first, all they did was observe and learn. In time, the races that inhabited this world became fascinated with the new strange beings that were surging, by their ever-changing forms and by the influence that they seemed to have upon the elements.

And that's how the Gods came to life: since the link between the two worlds was based in elemental connections, those most deeply connected to the elements were the ones that could access the physical world with more ease. This led to the belief that these were the strongest and most favored by nature, culminating in the self-proclamation of "Gods".
